Waste Water Treatment Plants
Waste
Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) are used for removal of bacteria and
chemicals from wastewater. As wastewater is contaminated water, so to remove
harmful contaminants from waste water and make water waste water reusable, we use
Waste Water Treatment Plants (WWTP). Waste Water Treatment Plants are ideal to
make water in reusable form. There are many Waste Water Treatment Plants such
as Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Zero Liquid
Discharge Plant (ZLD), Ultra-Filtration (UF) Plant etc. These Plants help
people in treating their waste water both domestically and commercially. Waste
Water Treatment Plants (WWTP) have solved many water related problems of industries,
societies, hotels, and restaurants. STP Plants are used to remove high
chemicals from waste water. It is now made up with different technologies like
MBBR, MBR, SBR etc.
MBBR is Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor. MBBR consists of aeration tank with special plastic carriers where biofilm can grow. Biofilms are types of microorganisms that can grow on different surfaces. The plastic carriers are made up of a material with a density close to the density of water. These carriers are mixed in the tank and thus have a good contact between the substance in the flowing wastewater and biomass on the carriers. MBR is Membrane Bioreactor. SBR is Sequencing Batch Reactors. Effluent Treatment Plants are used to remove unwanted chemicals from wastewater. Zero Liquid Discharge plants remove all the liquid waste at the end of the process. Ultra-Filtration (UF) is used to remove suspended solids from wastewater and that wastewater after proper treatment can be used again for different purposes. It depends upon industry which waste water treatment plant they need. Waste Water Treatment Plants give outstanding results and they are available in different capacities. Waste Water Treatment Plants are very popular and demanding in today’s world.
